@Bristol
A huge bronze beetle guards the entrance to Wildwalk, part of Bristol’s award-winning family attraction. Hands-on discovery is the keynote of @Bristol. Child-friendly interactive exhibits focus on the animal kingdom in Wildwalk and science and technology in Explore.

Abbey Church House
Bath’s sole surviving Elizabethan mansion has a fascinating history. For centuries the Master of St John’s Hospital had a house here. It was rebuilt along grander lines by Dr Robert Baker around 1590. His great chamber is still there, with its Elizabethan panelling and elaborate chimney-piece.

Abbey Gatehouse
Once Britain was dotted with monasteries, each enclosed behind high walls with strong gates. The bigger the abbey, the more magnificent its gatehouse would be. Bristol has one of the few survivals. It once led into the courtyard of the Abbey of St Augustine.

Abbey Green
The green is secretly Stuart. 17th-century houses built on the former courtyard of Bath Priory were later given a Georgian facelift. Here the greenery has taken over. 200 years ago it seemed a good idea to soften Georgian symmetry with a hint of foliage. Plane trees were dotted around the city.

Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens
An 18th century valley garden with a mild climate that allows exotic species of palm, bannana, bamboo and canna to thrive outside. In spring there are rhododendrons and magnolias. There is an outstanding Mediterranean garden, Himalayan glade and New Zealand garden.

Alfred House
The fancy Georgian ironwork of this house has survived intact. Now it even holds aloft a replica of a Georgian oil lamp. Notice the torch extinguishers.

All Saints Church
The parish church of Long Ashton rose with its patrons. As the lords of the manor prospered, they left their mark on the church. Thomas de Lyons improved the family fortunes by marrying a wealthy widow in 1371. He paid for the West tower.

All Saints Church
All Saints Church, a late 19th Century structure, was completed shortly before novelist Agatha Christie’s birth in 1890. Her father, Frederick Miller, made a financial donation to the church thus ensuring his youngest daughter was entered in the church records as a founder member.

Animal Farm Adventure Centre
Explore the 25 acres of delightful countryside, home to lots of friendly animals. Meet the Shetland ponies, make friends with the farm animals and enjoy our seasonal treasure hunt. Join the cuddle club and hold the baby rabbits and small pets in the barn.

Arlington Court

Visitors can also take advantage of a carriage ride around the grounds.
