The Rosersberg Palace
Located around 13 miles from Stockholm, the Roserberg Palace lies between Upplands Vasby and Sigtuna. Built in the 17th century, this palace is definitely worth a visit, and is renowned for its beautiful white walls shining from its hilltop location.

The Royal Apartments
Part of the Royal Palace, these apartments take up two floors and were used originally by King Adolf Fredrik and Queen Lovisa Ulrika. There are some great tales linked with these rooms, including the fact that King Gustav had visiting aristocrats watch him wake up each morning they visited.

The Royal Armoury
For many this is definitely one of the highlights of the Stockholm museum scene, and if you are interested in royalty or weaponry of any kind then it is a must see location.

The Royal Coin Cabinet
This museum next to the Royal Palace has the biggest coin in the world as well as the first ever coin made in Greece in 625BC. It houses an impressive collection of coins and is designed with innovation in mind.

The Royal Djurgården Park
The park is one of the best parks in all of Sweden, and is located inside the Haga Park complex. A large and spacious park with beautiful features, it is a great place to relax after a day of touring the city of Stockholm.

The Woodland Cemetery
Although it might seem strange to include a cemetery in tourist attractions, this place is definitely worth a visit if only for the stunning setting and the grave of Greta Garbo.

Tullgarn Palace
Tullgarn palace was the home of Gustav III’s youngest brother during the 1770’s, and is about an hour from Stockholm. The décor was altered around 100 years after Gustav’s brother lived in the palace, when the then Crown Prince Gustav used the palace as a summer home.

Ulriksdal Palace
This palace is located in Solna, inside the National City Park close to the shore of Edsviken. Jacob de la Gardie led Swedish forces that took Moscow in 1610, and the palace was built for him as a reward for his services.

Vasa Museum
The Vasa Museum is definitely one of Sweden’s top tourist attractions, and perhaps the most famous within Stockholm. The building is absolutely massive, which of course it needs to be to hold the massive Vasa ship.

Waldemarsudde house
Although formerly a property owned by the Royal Family, the building is now used as an art gallery. In the past the building was owned by Prince Eugen, who passed away in 1947. The Prince was the brother of King Gustav V, as well as being a landscape painter.
