Strindberg Museum
The highly-renowned Swedish playwright August Strindberg used to live here, and his home has now been turned into a museum dedicated to his life and works. In 1908 Strindberg moved into this apartment, which marked his return to Sweden after a long absence when he travelled throughout Europe.

Strindberg’s Intima Theatre
This theatre is dedicated to the greatest of all of Sweden’s writers, the renowned August Strindberg. Strindberg is now regarded by many as the best of all Sweden’s writers, but in his own time was a fairly controversial figure.

Strömsholm Palace
Like many other palaces around Stockholm, this palace is on the shores of Lake Mälaren, and is specifically located where the lake meets the Kolbäck River. Painted in an amazing yellow colour, the palace was designed by Tessin the Elder.

The Chinese Pavilion
The Chinese Pavilion is another part of the Royal Palaces of Stockholm, and was a birthday present from King Adolf Fredrik to his Queen Lovisa Ulrika. The building is known for its ornate design and having been built in 1753 is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Custom House
This is may be the home of the Royal Sailing club, but there are other things to enjoy at Custom House in Stockholm. The house is on the small island of Sandhamm, and in it you can find a wide variety of boats and boat features.

The House of Nobility
The House of Nobility is a true architectural spectacle, and was designed by Simon de Vallée in the 17th century. Often regarded as one of the most exquisitely designed buildings in all of Northern Europe, this masterpiece of craftsmanship and design has great features both inside and out.

The Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities
This museum of Far Eastern Antiquities displays artefacts from prehistoric times that were found in a Chinese village during the 1920’s. Most of the museum’s exhibits, which were renovated in 2004, show pottery, burial traditions and prehistoric earthenware from thousands of years ago.

The Orion Theatre
The Orion theatre is an avant-garde theatre that was founded back in the late eighties. The establishment is the largest of its kind within the city of Stockholm, and offers some of the most interesting performances you are likely to see in a theatre setting.

The Pavilion of Gustav III
This royal retreat is an amazing example of 18th century European neo-Classical design. The exterior of the pavilion building was created by Olof Tempelman, although his design was also complimented by the detailed instructions given to him by King Gustav III.

The Rosendal Palace
The Rosendal Palace is the summer retreat of a former Swedish King – namely King Karl XIV Johan. The palace has an interesting design, and combines Imperial style with military paintings and decoration, symbolising the King’s past as a soldier.
