Emilia Pardo Bazan`s House Museum
This museum was the home of the Galician novelist Emilia Pardo Bazan who died in her late sixties in 1921. It is now the Headquarters of the Galician Royal Academy. On the first floor of the 18th Century mansion is a museum containing some of the writer`s belongings.

Fine Arts Museum
Opened in 2001, the modern building of the Museo de Bellas Artes has won several architectural awards. The original museum was founded in 1845. It has a large Valencian Ceramics collection from the 13th Century to the present day, and paintings by Zurburan and Sorolla, as well as sculptures.

Built in 1995, the Fine Arts Museum incorporates the 18th Century Capuchin Monastery that stood on the site. The architect of the new building was Manuel Gallego Jorreto. The museum exhibits more than 5,000 pieces of art, including paintings, engravings, ceramics and sculpture.
