Concatedral de Santa Maria   
After being destroyed in 1936, the Concatredal de Santa Maria was carefully rebuilt in 1940 by Vicente Traver. The original church dated from the 12th Century but, because of a fire, it was rebuilt in the 14th Century.

Convent of Santa Clara   
The Convent of Santa Clara was founded in the 13th Century after the recapture of the city by the Christians. It is one of the oldest in Jaen. Inside, the church has a lovely marquetry ceiling with stars, known as artesonado, and a 16th Century bamboo image of Christ from Ecuador.
