Basilica of Saint Mary   
The building of the huge, blue domed Basilica of Saint Mary started in the 17th Century by Francesc Verde but was not completed until 1783. This Baroque church has a splendid portal by Nicolas de Bussi. From the tower are magnificent views of Elche and the palm groves.

Benalmadena and Arroyo de la Miel Guide and Forum   
Dedicated to visitors to these two popular resorts on Spain's Costa del Sol, with links to bars, restaurants and accommodation as well as a wealth of information regarding transport and excursions.

Benissa   
Web site for the Valencian town of Benissa. Contains a photographic gallery, details of its location, gastronomy info, etc.

Cadiz Cathedral   
Magnificent Cadiz Cathedral took over one hundred years to build and it was not fully completed until 1853. This baroque and neo-classical cathedral, with its marble and stone interior and dome of golden tiles, is one of the largest in Spain. It has been declared a Site of Cultural Interest.

CajAstur Cultural Centre   
The CajAstur Cultural Centre is located in the former Revillagigedo Palace, a neo-Renaissance monument with battlements. It was inaugurated in 1991. After careful renovation, the palace has become an art and cultural centre. There are seven halls on two floors devoted to exhibitions as well as galleries on the lower floors.

Campo del Moro   
This quiet park offers fine views of the Palacio Real. The name is derived from the occasion in 1109 when a Moorish army set up camp here in an unsuccessful attempt to recapture Madrid. During the mid 19th Century, it was landscaped with woodlands, grassy areas, paths, statues and fountains.

Casa Mila   
Built by Antoni Gaudi between 1906 and 1910, Casa Mila is also known as La Pedera - The Stone Quarry. This extraordinary corner apartment block is eight storeys high, and has wrought iron balconies but no straight lines at all. The Mila family lived on the first floor.

Casa de los Tiros   
Built in the Renaissance style, this fortress like Mudejar palace was built in the 1500s and belonged to the family who were given Generalife after the fall of Granada. Boabdil, the last Moorish ruler, surrendered the city in 1492 and his sword became one of the family`s possessions.

Casa del Labrador   
Located in the Prince`s Garden and named after the building previously on the site, the Labourer`s Cottage is a small palace built for Carlos 1V. The sumptous interior contains many rooms with marble floors, silk tapestries, furniture, clocks, porcelain, lamps, and canvases.

Casa del Rey Moro   
The Casa del Moro was built in the 18th Century on the foundations of a Moorish palace. It has terraced gardens which were designed by the French landscape artist Jean-Claude Forestier. From Casa del Rey Mora, the long stairway known as La Mina descends to the bottom of the gorge.
