Oratory of San Felipe Neri
The Oratory of San Felipe Neri is one of the finest baroque churches in Cadiz. The building has a splendid dome and inside is Murillo`s masterpiece, an Immaculate Conception. The church is a National Monument.

Palace of Catalan Music
The Palau de la Musica Catalana is one of Barcelona`s main concert halls. Completed in 1908, it is a splendid Moderniste building with an elaborate red brick facade and ceramic pillars bearing busts of great composers. At the corner of the building is a large sculpture symbolising Catalan folk song.

Palacio Real
The Royal Palace stands on the site of Alcazar, the former fortress that burnt down in 1734. Felipe V commissioned a huge replacement which wasn`t ready to be occupied until 1764, in the reign of Carlos 111.

Palacio Real de Aranjuez
The Royal Palace`s origins date back to the 16th Century when a palace was built for Felipe 11. The present structure of brick and white stone was built in the 18th Century with the side wings being added by Carlos 111.

Palacio de Carlos
Begun in the early 16th Century, this huge, square Renaissance building appears incongruous in its setting at Alhambra, but it houses two interesting museums. The Museo de la Alhambra is dedicated to the Islamic period and contains a splendid collection of artefacts from Alhambra and other areas.

Palau Reial Major
The Royal Palace was the former residence of the Counts of Barcelona, and it is where King Ferdando and Queen Isabella most likely received Columbus in 1493 after his voyage to America. Built in the 14th Century, the Gothic Salo del Tinell has huge arches supporting a wooden roof.

Palm Grove Museum
Located at the historic Sant Placid Orchard, the Palm Groves Museum is housed in a 19th Century farmhouse. In the museum are four exhibition rooms explaining the history of the palm groves, the trees` biology and uses.

Pamplona Cathedral
The Cathedral of Santa Maria was built during the 14th and 15th centuries on the foundations of an earlier church. Mainly Gothic in style, the cathedral has two towers, whilst the neo-classical west front was built in the 18th Century by Ventura Rodriguez.

Parc de la Ciutadella
This popular park was once the site of a huge fort built by Felipe V which later became a political prison. It was demolished in the late 19th Century and the site becam a park. The Universal Exhibition was held here in 1888.
