Concertgebouw
The Concertgebouw (Concert Hall) was built in 1888 and is considered by many critics to be the most acoustically perfect concert hall in the world. It attracts 800,000 visitors per year, and organises over 350 concerts annually.

Corrie ten Boom House
The Corrie ten Boom House is the house where the ten Boom family offered safety and refuge to hundreds of Jews throughout the Nazi occupation of Holland. The house has been carefully preserved and remains furnished in much the same way it was during the war.

Coster Diamonds
Coster Diamonds is one of the oldest still operational diamond factories in Amsterdam. It was founded back in 1840 and now offers visitors the chance to see their craftsmen at work cuttin and polishing diamonds.

Cruise Inn Cafe
The Cruise Inn was founded 18 years ago by a gang of Rockers called ’The Bop Cats’. They were initially a small group, but soon grew to around 40 people.

Czaar Peter Huisje
The Czaar Peterhuisje is where Russian Czaar Peter the Great stayed incognito in 1697. Peter had travelled to Holland disguised as an ordinary sailor, as part of a Russian trade mission. He was travelling under the name of Peter Mikhailov, and he ran into a former employee.

De Appel
De Appel is an institute for contemporary art which aims to provide both famous and unknown artists with a space to work on their projects and conduct research. The Foundation De Appel runs six exhibitions each year, and also holds talks, discussions, lectures and video presentations.

De Batavier
De Batavier Park in Alkmaar is an activity park aimed at families with children of all ages. The park has a variety of facilities including a boating pond, water slides and rides.

De Delftse Pauw
Delftse Pauw is one of the few factories remaining in the Netherlands that still produces entirely handpainted Delftware. The Deltfse Pauw factory offers guided tours in a variety of languages. The tours explain how Delftware is produced in great detail, with examples for each stage of the production process.

De Hollandsche Schouwburg
The Hollandsche Schouwburg, or Dutch Theatre, was built in 1892. During the Second World War it was used as a deportation centre for Jews. Thousands of people were sent by train from the Schouwburg to the Westerbork transit camp and from there to concentration camps.

De Looier
The Looier was established thirty years ago as the biggest permanent indoor antiques market in the Netherlands. It consists of 72 stands, several shops, 90 display cabinets and a cafe.
