Madurodam   
The Madurodam is a miniature city, sprawling over a 25,000 square metre area in the Scheveningse Bosjes (Scheveningen Woods). The Madurodam replicates typical Dutch landscapes and famous landscapes on a 1:25 scale.

Marine Museum   
The Marine Museum in Den Helder traces the history of the Dutch navy. It includes some interesting sections on Dutch naval heroes throughout the centuries. One of the most interesting being Admiral Michiel de Ruyter, who defeated the Spanish, Swedish, French and English in a series of daring exploits.

Maritime Museum Rotterdam   
The Rotterdam Maritime Museum was founded by Prince Hendrik in 1874. The museum has a large collection of nautical paraphernalia, including steam engines, cranes, nautical instruments and a replica of the wooden figurehead of Erasmus from the ship De Liefde, which was the first European ship to reach Japan.

Mauritshuis   
The Mauritshuis was once the residence of The Head of State, Frederik Hendrik’s nephew, Count Johan Maurits van Nassau. The building is a 17th century mansion, and is now the home of the Koninklijk Kabinet van Schilderijen (Royal Cabinet of Paintings).

Molen van Piet   
The Molen van Piet has been operated by the Piet family for four generations. The mill was constructed in 1769 and came into the posession of Cornelis Piet in 1884. The mill is still in operation today, having been carefully restored.

Mondriaan Huis   
The Mondriaan-huis is a museum devoted to the works of Piet Mondrian, the artist who was born in Amersfoort in 1872.

Moses and Aaron Church   
The Moses and Aaron Church is a Roman Catholic church situated in the ancient Jewish quarter of Amsterdam. The church no longer holds regular services, instead, it is now used as an education centre and a venue for exhibitions and concerts.

Moulin Rouge   
The Moulin Rouge in Amsterdam is the Dutch equivalent of the French adult entertainment show. The Moulin Rouge Amsterdam has a more light hearted feel to it, and instead of classy can-can dancing girls, consists of some more unusual sexual acts.

Muiderslot   
Muiderslot is one of the countries most visited castles. Located in the town of Muiden, it is an imposing red-bricked building with impressive towers and a moat.

Municipal Museum of Leiden   
The Municipal Museum of Leiden has been housed in the Lakenhal since 1874. The Lakenhal itself was built in 1640, and originally served as a clothmakers hall. The museum examines Dutch urban culture from the 16th century to the present day.
