Vauban Walk   
The French fortress builder Sebastien le Prestre de Vauban seized the fortress of Luxembourg from the Spaniards in 1684. With the help of 3,000 workers, he reconstructed the fortress and built new walls and forts. On this walk.

Vianden Castle   
Dramatically positioned above the small, picturesque village of Vianden, this spectacular, medieval castle dates from the 9th century when it was built on the ruins of a Roman fort.

Vianden Chairlift

Victor Hugo House   
Victor Hugo, French novelist and poet, lived in Vianden in 1871 during his exile. He was the author of Notre Dame de Paris (translated into English as The Hunchback of Notre Dame) and Les Miserables. The house where he stayed near the river is open to the public.

Villa Vauban   
Situated in the municipal park, Villa Vauban was built at the end of the 19th Century as a residence for a wealthy Luxembourg family. The park was created on land made available in 1867 by the demolition of the Vauban fortifications, after the Treaty of London.

Watermill and Milling Museum   
This old mill dates from the 11th Century when it was owned by the abbey of Saint-Maxime de Treves. It has recently been restored and houses a milling museum with an exhibition about the operation of the watermill.

Wiltz Castle   
Wiltz has had a fortress since medieval times, but the present castle in the upper part of the town dates from the 17th Century. It was a boarding school in the 19th Century. After damage during World War 11, it has been restored.

Wine Cellars Tour   
The small village of Wellenstein on the River Moselle nestles amongst vineyards and boasts the largest wine cellars of the cooperative vinsmoselle. The wine cellars offer one hour guided tours and tastings. Wellenstein has an attractive shady square surrounded by old restored buldings.

Wine Museum and House   
Housed in a former vintner`s house on the banks of the Moselle, the wine museum explains the process of wine production, including the growing of vines. Many photographs and various tools are on display.

Wine and Folklore Museum `A Possen`   
Situated in a small wine growing village in the Moselle region, the museum is housed in a former wine producer`s house that is about 350 years old. The museum`s aim is to give an impression of a wine grower`s everyday life in years gone by.
