Bock Promontory
The creation of the city of Luxembourg began in 963 when Count Siegfried of Ardenne acquired this precipitous rocky spur from the abbey of Trier to build a stronghold which became known as Lucilinburhuc.

Bofferding Brewery
Beer drinking is popular in Luxembourg and the tradition of brewing goes back many centuries. Two hundred years ago, there were over 200 breweries in the country, although most were small businesses run by families. Now there are only a few and they produce mainly the light Pils type of beer.

Bourglinster Castle

Bourscheid Castle
The romantic ruins of Bourscheid Castle stand on a promontory 500 feet above the River Sure. The fortress dates from the the 10th Century when a stone castle with a hall and keep was built inside a circular wall to replace an earlier wooden structure.
