St.Fiacre   
The Hotel St Fiacre has been in the same family for a number of generations. It has endeavored to maintain a high standard of comfort and hospitality that has stood the test of time.

Stadtbredimus Castle   
This lovely 15th Century castle was partly destroyed by the French on two occasions in the 17th Century, and afterwards by its owners. During the 19th Century, it was the home of Luxembourg`s famous poet and playwright Edmond de la Fontaine, also known as `Dicks`.

Stolzembourg Castle   
Medieval Stolzembourg Castle was once in the ownership of the Lords of Brandenbourg. The fortress changed hands several times, and was destroyed by the Governor of Luxembourg in 1454. It was attacked again in the 1670s. The only remains of the medieval castle are two stretches of wall and some cellars.

Stolzembourg Copper Mine Museum   
The former copper mine is over 500 years old and it had its heyday in the late 19th Century and early 20th Century. It is the largest mine in northern Luxembourg. The museum explains the geology and the history of the mine, and the methods of extracting the ore.

Tetelbierg   
The hill known as Tetelbierg was once a fortified Celtic town and it was surrounded by a wall almost two miles long. There was a large settlement in Roman times and it was occupied over several centuries.

The Abbey Museum   
Located in the abbey`s cellars, the museum`s exhibition includes facsimiles of beautifully illuminated manuscripts. The tiny illustrations usually accompanied religious text in prestigious books. During the medieval period, Echternach abbey was known for the exquisite work of its scriptorium. The museum also explains the history of the abbey.

The Basilica of St Willibrord   
Echternach is the oldest town in Luxembourg and it was founded by St Willibrord from Northumbria in England. He built a church here to found an abbey about AD 700.

The Battle of the Bulge Museum   
This small World War 11 museum consists mainly of weapons, uniforms, documents and other items relating to the 1940-1945 war. The Battle of the Bulge was the name given to the Ardennes Offensive in the winter of 1945.

The Broom festival   
This annual festival celebrating spring and the flowering of the broom in the Ardennes takes place on the weekend of the Pentecost. The festival was founded in the late 1940s and is now a popular event.

The Butterfly Garden   
Hundreds of exotic butterflies flutter about a tropical garden inside an attractive glasshouse owned by Bernard-Massard wine producer. Here one can follow the different stages in the life cycle of many species of butterflies.
