Schengen Castle
Schengen Castle was rebuilt in 1812, but it still retains a 13th Century tower. French writer Victor Hugo stayed here in 1817 and the tower can be seen in some of his drawings. During the 20th Century, the castle was occupied by the Sisters of the Order of Elizabeth.

Schiessentumpel Waterfall
From the hamlet of Mullerthal a walk through a wooded ravine can be taken to the picturesque waterfall known as Schiessentumpel where the River Ernz can be crossed by a footbridge above the waterfall.

Schumanns Eck Memorial Trail
This remembrance walk leads into the woods at Schumanns Eck where many American and German soldiers died during the Battle of the Bulge 1944-1945.

Sentier du Mullerthal
The Mullerthal Path wanders from Dommeldange, on the outskirts of Luxembourg, to the gorges and cliffs of the beautiful area known as Little Switzerland, and ends at Echternach. Roughly 28 miles long,it passes Bourglinster`s romantic castle and Junglister Church with its ancient tombs.

Septfontaines Church
The church has Gothic and Romanesque features and is recognised as a national monument. It was built in the early 14th Century by Thomas von Septfontaines. During the 16th Century changes were made to the Romanesque choir and north aisle to accommodate a huge memorial with figures around a tomb.

Sheraton Aerogolf Hotel Luxembourg
The Sheraton Luxembourg Aerogolf Hotel is conveniently located in an important business district, across the street from the golf club Grand Ducal, adjacent to Luxembourg Airport.

Sightseeing Train Benni
The little tourist train runs on rubber wheels instead of rails and can carry twenty passengers. It takes visitors on a sightseeing trip of the old town of Vianden.

Slate Quarry Museum
On the border with Belgium, this area of the Ardennes was once well known for its slate quarries which operated between 1750 and 1986. The Haut-Martelange Museum offers two hour guided tours of its eight hectare site, visiting workshops, offices and workers` houses, covering the whole process.

Sodality Chapel
The Sodality Chapel dates from the mid 18th Century. Inside is a baroque altar thought to have been made by Michel Weiter in 1761. The chapel was built for the Sodality Congregation of the Blessed Virgin, a Jesuit foundation that was established in the town in 1736.
