AQUA
AQUA is an innovative and exciting modern aquarium located in Silkeborg. It is a major attraction that has been awarded coveted four-star status by the Danish tourist authorities. It was opened in 1993 and is exclusively freshwater.

ARKEN
ARKEN is a stunning modern art gallery situated to the south of central Copenhagen. The striking building is designed to be reminiscent of a boat’s sail and was created by architect Søren Robert Lund. It lies on the edge of Køge bay.

ARoS - The Art Museum
ARoS (the Art Museum) is located in the centre of Aarhus and is a highly attractive modern facility. With a floor space of 18 000 square metres, it is one of the largest art galleries in Northern Europe. The works on display are modern, though not exclusively contemporary.

Aabenraa Shipping Museum
The Aabenraa shipping museum charts the maritime history of a town that still retains a busy harbour, and whose prosperity and history is intimitely linked with Danish seafaring. Many of the exhibits in the museum are items brought from various far-flung ports around the world.

Aalborg Historical Museum
The Aalborg Historical Museum is one of Aalborg’s most visited, and has been awarded two stars by the Danish tourist authorities. It concentrates especially on the period of Aalborg’s greatest wealth and significance – the seventeenth century.

Aalborg Maritime Museum
Aalborg Maritime Museum offers a great day out for those interested in the history of seafaring. It is possible to climb aboard and experience the conditions inside a real submarine or a torpedo boat. The museum has an extensive collection of model ships.

Aalborg Tower
Aalborg tower is a modern viewing tower that represents a popular attraction for people of all ages. It was built in 1933 and is 55 metres high. It provides spectacular views over the North Jylland countryside and the Limfjord to the north of the city.

Aalborg Zoo
Aalborg Zoo is one of Denmark’s most visited tourist attractions and has been awarded four star status by the Danish Tourist authorities.The zoo is a European leader in the field of conservation, houses many endangered species, and is involved in co-operative breeding programmes with similar institutions worldwide.
