Concentration Camp Memorial
Museum of Modern History and Concentration Camp Memorial commemorates the Ebensee concentration camp which was established as a labour camp subordinate to the infamous Mauthausen concentration camp.

Congress and Theatre House
The Kongress und Theatrehaus, designed by the architect Hyazinth Michel, was opened originally in 1875 as a result of Bad Ischl’s increasing importance as a health resort.

Cultural Centre
The Anton Bruckner Centrum presents a rich and varied cultural program; cabaret, dance, theatre, classical music, pop, exhibitions, art, sculpture and photography, lectures, readings, folklore. Both the public and visiting artists find enjoy the friendly and intimate atmosphere of the venue.

Danube Island
When a relief channel was cut to counter the threats of flooding in the Danube a recreational Mecca was created with the excavation material. The Danube Island is sectioned into three parts with natural areas in the north and south and a park in the centre.

Danube Park
Laid out in 1964 as part of the Vienna International Garden Show many of the original features have been dismantled or adapted but this 800,000 sq. metre garden, the second largest park in Vienna, remains a firm favourite with people of all ages, particularly those with children.

Danube Tower
At an overall height of 252 metres the Donauturm, located in Donaupark, was built in 1964 for the Vienna International Garden Show and was designed by the architect Hans Lintl.

Demel
The waitresses that still address you in the third person, the extravagant décor of gilt-leaf chandeliers and wood panelling, designed in the 19th century by Portois and Fix, and the astounding shop window displays are all attractions of this famous bakers and confectionery shop, but the food? Make sure you leave room for the amazing selection of pastries, ice-cream creations, connoisseur chocolates and candies and in particular the Senegaltorte and Sachertorte.

Diocesan Museum
This often overlooked museum is small but contains an astonishing display of religious art. Sculpture, tapestries, jewellery, artwork, and stained glass ranging from the 12th to the 18th century are all included in the exhibits.

Dom- and Diözesanmuseum
The ‘Museum of the Cathedral’ is a treasure trove of valuable treasures and artwork from the Cathedral and surrounding churches.

Donner Fountain
Commissioned in 1737 the ‘Providentia Fountain’ was conceived by Georg Raphael Donner, hence its more common name ‘Donner Fountain’. The central figure, the Goddess of Providence, is deemed to portray the caring and judicious government.
