The Hofburg
The ‘Imperial Palace’ is synonymous with the Habsburg dynasty who resided here for over six centuries. The Swiss Courtyard dates back to the 13th century and the oldest building is the 15th century Burgkapelle where the Vienna Boys’ Choir sing Sunday morning mass.

The Imperial Apartments
The Hofburg is synonymous with the Habsburg dynasty, and for over 600 years, until 1918, it was the main residence of the imperial family. Pay a visit to see the residential apartments and state rooms used by Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth.

Town Museum
The Heimat Museum, next to the church, is housed in a former forge built in the second half of the 16th century. The Bachschmiede is home to the contemporary cultural and community activities of the Wals-Siezenheim municipality and is a combination of a museum and meeting place.

Toy Museum and Historic Musical Instruments
The Spielzeug Museum, which opened in 1978, is situated in the historic Bürgerspital. The collection consists of toys from the last 250 years; dolls houses, puppets, toy theatres, metal and wooden toys, teddy bears, optical toys, model figures, model railways and much more.

Toy and Doll Museum
Opened in 1989, in the superb preserved Baroque interior of a building on Schulhof, this traditional museum houses an assortment of dolls and toys from the past three centuries. The collection of dolls and dolls houses is one of the most notable in the world, with exhibits as old as 1740.

Traces of Life Museum
The Lebensspuren Museum is housed in an English style villa designed by the Berlin architect Hermann Muthesius. Muthesius was heavily influenced by late 19th century English architecture, particularly the Arts and Crafts Movement.

Tram Museum
Every conceivable type of vehicle formerly used in the city’s tram, commuter-train and bus system can be seen here. The museum takes up four car sheds of a former tram depot and includes documents, photographs and drawings to provide a comprehensive overview of the exhibits.
