Biology Centre
The Biologiezentrum in Linz Dornach, with its collection of over six million items, is the largest natural history centre in Upper Austria and is second only to the natural history museum in Vienna.

Birthplace of Anton Bruckner
The Anton Bruckner Geburtshaus became a memorial to the life, career and works of the composer in 1971. Despite a reorganisation of the collections to update the exhibition capabilities of the museum the building retains its intimate character.

Bishop’s Palace
The Bischofshof was built by Michael Pruckmayr between 1721 and 1726 to plans by Jakob Prandtauer for the Abbot of Kremsmünster. There is a magnificent wrought-iron gate on the stairway by Master Valentine Hofmann, which was added in 1727.

Blue Dome – World of Water
The Blue Dome World of Water leisure park is near the Wolfgangsee, the blue lake from which it derives its name.

Bodingbauer Collection
The Sammlung Bodingbauer is housed in an elegant Biedermeier townhouse from the year 1842. The collection contains a fine private collection of vernacular furnishings from the Traun and Hausruck areas in addition to some rare oil paintings and exquisite prints.

Botanical Garden
Founded in 1911 at its present location the botanical gardens are situated in the University grounds. With more than 5,000 different species of plant from all over the world it is a great place for relaxation and learning.

Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna
Evolving from the Baroque style Pharmaceutical Garden founded by Empress Maria Theresia of Austria in 1754, this botanical garden cultivates over 9000 types of plant and tree which include numerous endangered specimens.

Botanical Gardens
Linz’s Botanical Gardens on the Gugl are spread over an area of 43000 m² and contain no less than 8000 types of exotic plants in the five greenhouses. The exhibited plants are grouped in complete landscapes, so that visitors can imagine they are in the middle of the plant’s natural habitat.

Bruckner Scenic Walk
The ingeniously conceived Sinfoniewanderweg is a scenic walk, which begins at the composer Anton Bruckner’s place of birth, from Ansfelder to St. Florian Monastery, where the composer’s is interred.

Brucknerhaus Concert Halls
Linz’s famous concert house, which was opened in 1974 after years of planning, is named after the composer Anton Bruckner and hosts an international annual festival in his name, the Brucknerfestes.
