Sanitory Fittings Museum
The unique Museum für Historische Sanitärobjekte has more than 300 items of sanitary wear on display. It is housed in a 16th century building, the Pepöckhaus, which was at one time a domestic residence, barracks and abattoir. Many of the pieces are complex and richly decorated and belonged to illustrious owners.

Schloss Hartheim Memorial
Hartheim Castle is now a memorial site dedicated to the thousands of physically and mentally handicapped persons who were murdered here by the Nazis as part of the euthanasia programme from 1940 until the end of the war. After the war, the building was converted into apartments.

Schloss Weyer
Schloss Weyer dates originally from the 15th century and passed through the hands of many owners over the centuries until it was revitalised as a cultural centre and gallery.

Schlossberg Cave Railway
This 2km underground amusement ride is a great family activity, particularly for those with young kids. The miniature railway is housed in the Schlossberg tunnel system which was constructed in the Second Word War as an air raid shelter for the people of Graz.

Schlosspark
Obscured by the Schoenbrunn Palace, Schlosspark is a magnificent formal garden which has been authentically reconstructed. Arranged in formal French style, and later supplemented by an English garden designed J A Eyserbeck and Peter Joseph Lenné, there are numerous sights to see.

Schmiding Zoo
Schmiding Zoo in Krenglbach, close to Wels, is the biggest zoo in Upper Austria. It is a modern zoo with exciting cultural activities and lots of fun and activities for children.

Schoenbrunn
Meaning ‘beautiful well’, this imposing and ostentatious palace has been placed on the World Cultural Heritage List and is a superb example of Gesamtkunstwerk. Designed by Johann Bernhard Fischer and built during the 18th century, it gradually changed its shape and style during the reign of successive Habsburg monarchs.

Schottenstift
This Roman Catholic monastery was founded in 1155 by monks from Regensburg, Germany, who were brought to Vienna by Henry II. The monastery contains a museum which is home to a number of exceptional works of art.

Schwarzenberg Canal
Construction of the Schwarzenbergischer Schwemmkanal was begun in 1789 with the purpose of allowing timber to be transported by flotation from southern Bohemia to Vienna via the Mühl River.

Secession
Vienna Secession was founded in 1897 by 19 artists including Gustav Klimt, Koloman Moser, Josef Hoffmann, and Max Kurzweil.
