Pathological-Anatomical Museum   
Housed in Vienna’s former mental asylum, the Narrenturm, or Fool’s Tower, this museum has exhibits on all kinds of illnesses.

Perner-Island   
The Pernerinsel is a huge former industrial complex on an island in the Salzach River. The buildings were once the production facilities for the historic salt mine at Dürnberg but closed, after over a thousand years, in 1989.

Phoenix Theatre   
The Phoenix Theatre is devoted, above all, to presenting provocative modern dramas, plays, premieres of works by Austrian playwrights and new productions of the classics.

Photography Museum of Upper Austria   
The Marmorschlössl (Little Marble Palace), in the grounds of the Imperial Palace, was built for Elisabeth of Bavaria as her private house. Here she met with her closest friends and famous artists, poets and writers of her time. Today the historic building serves as Upper Austria’s photography museum.

Pilgrimage Church of the Seven Sorrows of Mary   
The Wallfahrtsbasilika was built in the 18th century on the site of a miraculous icon placed at the top of the Pöstlingberg by Ignaz Jobst in 1716 after it proved effective in curing Prince Gundomer von Starhemberg.

Plague Column   
Strudel, Burnacini and Fischer von Erlach were amongst some of those who worked on the ‘Pestsäule’, erected to commemorate the ending of the plague epidemic of 1679.

Plus City   
Plus City, just outside Linz in the suburb of Pasching, is one of the biggest shopping complexes in Austria.

Pongauer Cathedral   
Pongauer Dom is the parish church of St. Johann im Pongau. The church, which dominates the town and overlooks the Salzach valley, is first mentioned in 924 but the present building dates largely from the mid 19th century having been rebuilt in neo Gothic style after a disastrous fire in 1855.

Pongi Children’s Club   
The Pongi Club is a place for children, aged 3 years and upwards, to spend a magical day while parents are out and about exploring the region, particularly of that includes some less than child friendly activity such as mountaineering.

Posthof   
The POSTHOF, which was originally a farm in the Linz docklands, was opened in 1984 as venue for contemporary culture in Austria. The programme of events offered covers a broad cultural spectrum and includes music, dance, theatre, art and literature.
