Linz Casino
The Casino Linz, opened in 1982, is one of the largest tourist enterprises in the city of Linz. The modern building, surrounded by a beautifully landscaped park, is suitably opulent. Hans Staudacher designed the main play hall which, with its wonderful mosaics, creates a harmonious setting.

Linz Castle
The fortress on the Danube at Linz was first documented in the 8th century. It was rebuilt in the 15th century by Emperor Friedrich III, and there are partial remains this phase of the castle’s history still in evidence today.

Linz Stadium
Gugl Stadium is the home of LASK (Linzer Athletik Sport Klub) football team, claimed to be the third oldest soccer club in Austria. Besides the connection with the local soccer team, the stadium is used for other international events such as athletics.

Linzergasse
The historic Linzergasse has been a major thoroughfare for centuries and was once on the main route out of Salzburg to Linz and Vienna.

Lipizzaner Museum
Located within the former Imperial Court Pharmacy this museum portrays the history of the Lipizzaner horses from their origins to the present day.

Local History Museum
The museum in the “Fürstenstöckl” Ebenau was opened in 1967. The museum’s collections and exhibits show different facets of the history of Ebenau from the earliest times.

The Mauthausen Heimatmuseum is housed in the impressive Schloss Pragstein on the banks of the Danube which was once on a rocky island separated from the shore by a thread of water.

Loos Haus
This building, by the architect Adolf Loos, caused a furore upon its completion in 1911. Its surprisingly stark façade has been nicknamed the ‘house without eyebrows’ because of Loos’ refusal to adorn its window bays with stucco and lintels.

Since its establishment in the year 1913, MAERZ has been dedicated to the international exchange of artistic ideas by providing a place where contemporary artists, from various disciplines, can meet and present and discuss their work.
