Arsenal   
Following the 1848 revolution the new city garrison was built which now houses the Heeresgeschichtliches Museum. The four exhibit halls cover the Thirty Years’ War and Ottoman Turks, the Napoleonic Wars and the two World Wars. Temporary exhibitions are held in a small exhibition hall.

Art Gallery   
The Atterseelebenskunst gallery and studio was set up with the purpose of providing a culturally enriching creative experience for visitors to Attersee and the local community, particularly young people and children.

Arthurstollen Mining Museum   
The Schaubergwerk Arthurstollen is a museum devoted to the history of copper mining. The museum is based in a former copper mine of which a length of about 1 kilometre is currently open to the public.

Attergau Railway   
The popular Attergaubahn, which is a part of an extensive rail network which was never realised, begins at the Eilzugstation Vöcklamarkt and runs, with inclinations of up to 47 %, across to Walchen and the children’s museum at Schloss Walchen, Kogl, St. Georgen im Attergau and finally to Attersee.

Augustinian Brewery   
The brewery and tavern at the Mülln monastery in Salzburg have been in existence since 1621. The monastery was built for the Augustinians in Mülln, on the northern slopes of the Mönchsberg hill, between 1607 and 1614.

Austrian Folklore Museum   
Now housed in the Schönborn Garden Palace, this museum was founded in 1895 and is intended to illustrate the relation of the environment, economy, history and society to the people and to make them contemplate their place in the world.

Austrian Museum of Applied Art   
The distinctive interior makes this museum well worth a visit; Austria’s leading designers given freedom to create a unique space. Exhibits from the middle-ages to the present day include furniture, glass, china, silver, and textiles, with the ground floor covering Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo and Jugendstil trends.

Austrian Parliament   
Designed by the Danish architect Theophil Hansen, this building, with its imposing Corinthian portico, is the home of the Austrian Parliament and its 183 members. Built in neo-Renaissance and classical Greek style, it was completed in 1884.

Austrian Postal Savings Bank   
The building of the ‘Postsparkasse’ was designed in 1906 by Otto Wagner; a significant early work of modern architecture and his first ventures from Art Nouveau and Neoclassicism. Steel, concrete, glass and aluminium rivets give the building an impenetrable look but also provide a well-balanced fusion of form and functionality.

Austrian Theatre Museum   
Palais Lobkowitz is the setting for this museum highlighting the magic of the stage. With over a million items to choose from, including stage models, costumes, props, drawings, prints and photographs, the permanent and temporary exhibitions focus on all aspects of theatre life and famous artistes.
