I will be visiting my 78 year old mother in London in July and want to take her on a special holiday to Cornwall. (We will be staying one night at the Lion Inn in Clovelly in Devon). We want to make Padstow and St Ives our base and through the Internet the Metropole and Rick Stein's Restaurant Hotel seem nice in Padstow. There is also the Trevone Bay hotel and in St. Ives there's the Carbis Bay Hotel which appears to have a gentle slope to the beach. Can anyone recommend any of these hotels or any other hotels in the area ? My mother is resonably fit but although she can walk down steep slopes she cannot walk back up them so cliff top hotels are out.
