Holiday in AVIEMORE Scotland in September

We will be spending a week in Aviemore Scotland from the 8th of September. Can anyone give us some suggestions as to where to visit, what to do, where to eat. We have already booked the lodging and have a car. Any ideas?

I've been a couple of times in recent years and stayed at the Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort. There are a number of hotels on the site, as well as some self catering accommodation. They have a great swimming pool there with a wave machine which is great if you have children with you.
