Hi all

Just got back from a trip and, one of the places I stopped at, had a really extensive room service menu. I couldn't quite believe my eyes when I saw this bit...!

Anyone else seen anything like this before on a room service menu?

Paul

Ye gods, it's not exactly cheap is it?

Up to €35 for a baby's meal?? And €30 for the dog!!

Still, maybe that's the norm for room service, I wouldn't know.

No, I've never seen options for the dog on a room service menu before! Quite a place you stayed at! Smile

Are you taking the Mick, here? Some clever use of photoshop, perhaps???!

€25 just for a plate of boiled pasta.... for your dog!!!! But I guess they have to make the prices the same as the normal menu, otherwise cheapskates would end up ordering off the Dog Menu... Rolling Eyes

It's surely just bad translation rather than a menu specifically for our canine friends (per fido meaning "with olives" or something similar)... surely?

No, it's genuine. This was the 'special requirements' section of a much fuller menu.

I think 'per Fido' simply means 'for Fido'... so 'dog menu' isn't technically the correct translation, but it gets the intended message across.

I am pretty sure they wouldn't be offering humans 'cotta o cruda' (cooked or raw) chicken... Wink

That's outrageous! I can't stand that people humanise their pets! Whats wrong with good old fashioned dog food?! The kids menu is cheaper than the dogs menu...the world's gone mad! Confused
