I just joined this site a few minutes ago and it looks like this would be the place to get an answer for my question.
How many of you would be interested in vacationing in a recreation of an "Old West" town built on a private ranch? There are several places like this in Texas but many are non functioning and only present an atmosphere and most do not offer lodging. What I had invisioned was a town where 90% of the buildings funtioned as they would've then and instead of "staged" gunfights, at a set time or place, our actors would fight randomly so that the visitor would never know what to expect. We'd have trial rides and stagecoaches to take you to your lodging etc...
I just would like to know if this is something worth persuing. Thank you for your time and input. Tony

Uh-huh a old west themed park where “staged” gunfights break out and visitors never know what to expect.
Well as long you don’t plan to add robot gunfighters

and avoid using the tagline - “have we got a vacation for you” Wink

It sounds like fun ! I’d definitely saddle up.

You have another thread here asking the same question, right? I just posted there, but am glad I found this one also. Are you talking about another "Dodge, Kansas" thing? That's just too phony and plastic for me. Please see my opinion in your other thread.

Try Oatman in Arizona they are also on Route 66 and the town has gunfights etc plus semi wild burrors walking around the town which is a old ghost town. Have fun partner.
