A quick introduction...

Hello everyone,

Thought it about time I introduce myself. My name is Fiona. I’m 28 years old and I live in Scotland. On the 21st October 2009 my sister and I quit our jobs, left our little town and set off for an eight month adventure that would take us through India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos.
After arriving home in 2010 I began working with a charity supporting adults and young people with ASC however, the vast majority of my waking hours have been spent dreaming about a return to Asia. I am thrilled that 2012 will see me don my backpack again. India intrigued, bewildered and enchanted me the first time I visited. I'm sp pleased I can finally make a second visit. Another instalment of Incredible India awaits me. It’s all very exciting!
The final thing to say is a huge thanks to all on the forums. I've been trawling them for a while now and I've picked up some excellent advice. Much appreciated.

Welcome to the forums, Fiona. Sounds like quite an adventure. Was it difficult for you to come to the decision to quit your jobs and travel?

It was a very easy decision to be honest. For me, the hard part was returning to Scotland and spending my days wishing I was somewhere else!
