The Trip was great wasn't it?
Some of the food was super pretentious, as were the places they ate and the prices they paid, but the countryside was just beautiful and showed the UK off in a great light, I thought.
Quick word for Amore Restaurant in Bowness, great little Italian serving lovely authentic dishes and not expensive. Talking £30 for two people with a drink each, two mains and a side dish. A far cry from the places showcased in The Trip with their blackberry froth and bills of over a ton for a 9 course degustation menu !! |
