Travel by inter rail is a good decision.
One more beautiful country I can recommend is Croatia. _________________ Visit http://www.hoteldealsite.com to Compare Hotel Prices from Top Hotel Sites |

I can recommend you couple of cities in Poland but it always depends what you want to do or see... from Berlin you can quite easily reach Wroclaw (thought to be one of the most beautiful cities in Poland). If you decide to head to North of Poland it is advised to see Torun, Malbork (with its astonishing castle), Gdansk and Sopot. But if you head to South of Poland (what seems to be more probable from the plan you mentioned) do not miss KRAKOW! many hostels you can just google here. You will surely find your own way in that astonishing city. Closeby is Wieliczka Salt Mine (a real treasure) and many visitors go from Krakow to Auschwitz - former Nazi Concentration Camp- or to Zakopane to hike in the Tatra mountains. Warsaw - the capital - might be also considered. One of beloved tourist towns is also Kazimierz Dolny.
From cities in other countries I would really recommend Prague. It's one of my favourite cities abroad. Still worth visiting in Czech Republic is for me Karlove Vary or CESKY KRUMLOV. And surely many many more...
many gfreetings and wishes of good choice! _________________ CHECK IT, IT MIGHT BE HANDY: Ideas for holidays in Poland, help in planning your trip and finding a suitable hotel. |

You could try Romania if you want, especially the Ardeal region (the part inside the courve of the Carpathian Mountains). Views are great, beer is cheap and people are friendly. _________________ Malta Hotels |

I guess you can't really know what to expect until you find yourself at that destination... _________________ Urlaub-Reisen |

I will only comment on what I know something about here, and that is Hungary. But, if you plan to come to Hungary there are several things I would recommend you to do. Of course you should visit Budapest and take a look in the capital of Hungary, but outside that there are several treasures worth experiencing outside Budapest.
For example: The cavebaths in Miskolctapolcs (northeast), a trip on the Danube (esztergom and Visegrad), and I would for sure visit some real hot spring thermal bath. In Budapest my favorite is the Széchényi Thermal Bath, but there are several other places around the country as well where you can enjoy such a thermal bath.
An interrail ticket can work out well, and serve your purposes! |

If you like city stop offs I definitely recommend Kiev, lovely city. Some beautiful streets. Some of the architecture is also incredible. Enough to keep you busy for a few days at least. I also second your Croatia bet, from what I have heard/seen it seems to be a great place to go especially in the hot summer. _________________ Looking For Car Hire?

In ljubljana you can visit the famous Celica hostel, former prison changed into a very cool hostel. If your budget is somewhat bigger you can choose another great place , for example Antiq Hotel in sole center of the old town. _________________ Chamonix France

Sounds lovely! A month is a minimum, I think you will enjoy yourself.
I would suggest you include Trieste on your way to Sicilly. It is very convenient from Slovenia. Trieste is an amazing city, consider its heritage: Roman, Slavonic, Austrian - it is such an eclectic place - you only believe it when you see it! _________________ Terracotta Warriors | Tutankhamun Exhibition | Visit Dorset |

| Barcelona is one of the nicest cities to visit. Its museums, theatres, art galleries and nightlife are of an impressive high standard. Shopping, art, dining, and entertainment also feature prominently in this lively city. If you plan to European cities as a holiday destination, the capital of Catalonia and Spain’s second city should be on the top of the list of your visit. |

| If you are heading East, stop by in Latvia, it has a number of sites great worth seeing. Start with the capital Riga and have a look at its marvelous Art Nuevo architecture and feel the vibe of the city. Besides, Riga hosts the best parties and various cultural events. For a quick history lesson, pop into historical museums or art galleries. |
