Someone mentioned that the most common color is green. That is true. Many years ago I saw a Rose Aurora that was really spectacular . It was not in the normal thin ribbons - I cannot even describe it but I never forgot it, and years later found out it was "famous".

Red can also be used it looks more prettier than green.

Well,the color is not exactly green. It is greenish blue as this color spreads much than the other colors. Other colors are really rare but could be seen if you are lucky enough to notice on your single visit to the polar or patient enough to wait months long.
