If you and your family are planning a vacation and would like to include beauty and a new culture while keeping costs reasonable, you may want to consider traveling to Mexico by RV. There is no question that the beaches, cities, and people of Mexico offer a uniquely relaxing vacation experience, making it an incredibly popular destination.
The benefits that come with crossing the border in your RV are now better than ever. You are sure to save money especially while traveling along the western coast cities where hotels and resorts are often high priced. You will also save on dining expenses since you have the ability to cook from the comfort of your RV. With the dropping costs of diesel fuel, your gas prices will be lower than you’d expect. You are sure to enjoy the stability of a permanent bed, bathroom, and kitchen, avoiding the need to “live out of your suitcase.” With an RV, you aren’t restrained by a hotel reservation; you can choose spontaneous trips, staying or leaving an area as you want. By staying out of the crowded tourist areas when parking, you will be sure to meet some wonderful local people and experience a side of Mexico you may never see otherwise. |

Spring Break (March-April) is when all the Kids hit Mexico. Cancun and the like are over run with parties. I actually always liked Mexico in Late November. It is at the end of Hurricane season, rates are lower at hotels and it is a bit quieter as far as tourists are concerned.
Having said that, I don't recommend Mexico at all these days. Mexico is having its own private drug wars and is not the safest country to visit because of this.
Guatemala is having problems, Nicaragua as well.
I live in Costa Rica and love it but I am partial to this country. (we were just voted happiest country in the world
Research the areas your planning to visit in Mexico for level of violence. Be smart, be safe & good travels.
Cheers

First of all what part of Mexico you would like to visit? Mexico has colonial cities, mountains, islands, beaches etc. The best time of the year to visit Mexico depends mainly on your interests and destination.
Many think of Mexico being only Cancun, but you may be surprised by the rich culture and history of Mexico. Even places like Cancun have areas that cater spring breakers, if you identify those places and avoid them you may enjoy a great vacation even in the middle of spring break.

My personal opinion is that Mexico is fighting crime just like any other country does. Mexicans praise what the Government is doing and Mexico isn't as dangerous as the media says it is. There are areas that have more problems than others, but Mexico is a big country with many places that are perfectly safe and worth visiting. _________________ Costa Maya Excursions

| The summer is hot, but prices are cheaper. It is lovely in December, but that is the most expensive time. Spring break is crazy with college students. If you are young and like to party, that might be a fun time. If you want a quieter vacation, try their fall. I believe the high season begins in November, so October might be a good time to go. It would not be as hot as midsummer, but you won't be paying the highest prices either. |

I go to Cancun 4 to 5 times a year my favorite time to go is when it is cold here at home in Minneapolis. But the least expensive time is summer, fall, December until around Christmas and January. The best time if you do not like crowds is after spring break in April and the fall. If you like to party then go in March this is the most expensive time to go. It is very hot in the summer. _________________ passport renewal

October to May is the best time to visit Mexico when climate is more enjoyable. July and August are also popular holiday months, especially for foreign traveler. Well, I also inform you to avoid visiting in May – September period because in these months weather can be hot and humid. _________________ Romantic Bed and Breakfast | Cabin Rental Luray VA | Luray Caverns Cabins |

When traveling to southern Mexico, and especially the interior of the Yucatan, it's very important to choose the right time of year. Long time residents of Merida, for example, report that any time after early March, the weather can start to get really steamy.
We traveled through the area last year in early December and found it just about perfect. It was at the end of the rainy season, so things were still very green. We did have to deal with mosquitoes in areas with standing water, but in most places there were very few. At the same time, the weather was beautiful and cool. Finally, because it's a somewhat unusual time to visit, we had even the most popular destinations almost entirely to ourselves. _________________ John U Lord

The best time to visit Mexico is probably from October to May, when time is more pleasant.
July and August are also popular holiday months especially for foreign tourists, so this is another adviced range of time as for when to visit Mexico.
It is advisable to avoid the May–September period as these months can be hot and humid. _________________ Sig removed because I turned out to be a spammer... silly me. |

IMO, the best time to visit Mexico is around middle of October and early part of December. _________________ London Holiday destinations |

The thing to remember about Mexico is that it's a mountainous country with a lot of coastline. Summers can be very hot in parts -- the Yucatán, for instance -- and downright cool in the mornings and evenings in other parts at a higher altitude.
The spring where I live (outside city of Oaxaca) can be brutally hot, dry, and dusty, whereas the summer, after the rains begin, is lush and pleasant.
My suggestion is to go to real weather sites to research the climate of where you want to visit, rather than sites aimed at tourism. _________________ Any Port in a Storm

Is this really true for everywhere in Mexico with the difference in prices? I'm wondering whether they really change that much in Mexico City too. I'm thinking of visiting Mexico City first, before I go check out one of the beach resorts. There the price variation will probably be the greatest. |

| Most schools have Spring Break in March. Sometimes resorts will advertise the "spring break" type specials. If you know where you are going, just check with your resort to see when their busy times are. |
