Hittin Frankurt, Amsterdam and London in April, need advice.

Question one is I will be traveling quite a bit while I'm in each location, so I don't want to take luggage. I'm looking for a solid back pack that can hold a decent amount and still be brought on board a plane. Any suggestions? What are stores that sells stuff like that?

Question two is I'm also looking for reasonable hotels that are centrally located in each city.

in Frankfurt I will being attending Musikmesse, I believe the location is: Frankfurt am Main but I will have to double check, here is a link to the site:

The site is a little confusing to me.

In Amsterdam I will be traveling throughout so I want a hotel very close (a few blocks) from the main train/bus station.

In London, not sure I will be going to Abbey Road, other then that not sure. Looking for something in the heart of the city.

A guess affordable would be under $175 (US) per night, not sure if that is possible.

Any help would be appreciated.
