Hi everybody!
Have you ever been to North Pole? I'd like to go with my partner but we have no idea about prices and places to stay! It is possible to sleep in an igloo????? I WILL LOVE THAT, but I'm afraid of the cold! Also I'd like to know which is the best season to go!!!
Thank very much in advanced!

Do you mean the actual (or even magnetic) north pole? Or one of the cities called North Pole?
Or do you just mean above the Arctic Circle? There is a big difference between the two. If you do mean the north pole, I think you'll find the accomodations quite disappointing. _________________ My flight map. A million miles and counting....Where I’ve been around the globe. |

I agree with Red Tape. There isn't any place to stay at the North Pole. You can get there by Icebreaker during the summer. Check out quarkexpeditions.com Or you can fly there, though if you go that route, there isn't much to do, once you get there.
If you are looking for an igloo experience, you might check out one of the ice hotels. Igloos can be small and cramped, but the ice hotels are usually large and beautiful. You sleep on reindeer skins in the hotel, though some have regular rooms 'just in case'.
Cheers![/i] _________________ Colin McNulty has worked as a Natural History Guide and Professional Photographer for over 18 years. No, I've never been to North Pole. Is anyone here with an experience of visiting that region? _________________ Read about San Pedro de Atacama or Chile |

If youre looking for accommodation in the North Pole you should try.
Sunshine Villa Apartments
1190 Ocean Boulevarde
North Pole
Antartica
They are only a few hundred yards from the beach and the cocktails are the best I've ever had.
The best time of the year to visit has to be Autumn when the leaves are falling from the trees and its possible to get a sunlounger by the pool before the germans. |

Yes I have been there several times and it is very beautiful.
Our igloo had central heating, but I suppose thats just one of the advantages of having an igloo in one of the big cities.
We looked out of our frosted glass windows at night to view the northern lights of Reykjavik.
Just watch out for the alligators if you go near the harbour. |

Hi there,
I wonder if you are able to fulfill your plans of going to the North Pole and sleeping in an igloo? Share it to me since I have the same idea of spending my business leave in North Pole. Ain't it unique. Not more people do this. |
