Start from natural history museum or the british museums. You can start your journey from either on of these

As far as I know, most of the museums in London are open during the weekdays, so you will be able to visit them. Yeah, the Natural History Museum would be a good place to start.

The V&A, Science Museum and Natural History Museum are all close by. The British Museum a little further from these three, I don't think you coiuld easily do them all justice in a day.

You might find the maps on our site helpful for getting an insight into the whereabouts of some of the attractions:

eg. http://www.ukattraction.com/london/map/kensington.html

Zoom in and they will show more detail.

Well I traveled from the natural history museum to the imperial war museum... managed to see 4 museums in one day but as one poster mentioned you would need more than one day to really have a good look around.... I'm use to walking but will admit my feet where killing me at the end off the day....
