Hi everyone! If you had to visit only ONE of the Canary Islands, which one would it be and why?
Mine would be Tenerife because I would like to visit Siam Park around Costa Adeje and the nightlife sounds great. Friends have also told me great things about it.
Your turn... |

I agree, there are some lovely parts of Tenerife. Gran Canaria is also great to spend some time; nice beaches and good nightlife. Thinking of the Canaries makes me want to go back! Anyone jetting off to one of the islands this summer?

I didnt see the sharks on the way down, i was too busy screaming, crying and having a great and bad experience at the same time. Plus.... I was too scared to open my eyes. Did see them when got to the bottom though! _________________ Morocco Travel Plan - We’ll help you build your own Morocco adventure |

It consists of 7 larger islands
Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro
El Hierro is the most westward island the only thing beyond is the east coast of America its a small island with very little tourist industry
Tenerife- -Its a place which has something for everyone...from the harsh hot desert enviroment of the south where the main tourist area is to the green lush of the north |

My favorite is Tenerife.
Basically for "El Medano" for the wave-sailing and for being a pretty chilled place too.
Gran Canaria pretty good too (Pozo Izquierdo and Vargas are pretty epic spots if you don't minde those boulders on the beach!) but you can't beat "El Medano" for the "everything in one pacedness" _________________ My Spanish Travel Site

I think Tenerife is the best option. There are a lot od things to explore there: Parque Nacional Teide, Orotava and more. I think comparing to Gran Canaria, Tenerife seems to be more natural. Gran Canaria is more commercialized. _________________ Book & compare hotels on HotelCalculator.com and become our friend on Facebook |

I would say Lanzarote is the best canary island. There's just so much to do there. When I have gone on holiday there before I have just stuck to relaxing on the beautiful beaches, but last time I went I was a bit more adventurous and spent loads of time wind surfing and wandering round Puerto del Carmen.
Such an amazing destination! |

i like Lanzarote as there is lots of things to see.
like to watch Mountains of Fire, and experience a camel ride, National Park to see geothermal demonstrations and the Volcano Route.
to the south of the island to admire La Costa de la Lava with panoramic views of the Janubio salt mines and Los Hervideros.
Lanzarote's most important vine-growing region, La Geria, where you will visit a typical cellar and join a wine tasting session.
Los Valles and Haria with a view of the Valley of the Thousand Palm Trees. |

I just got back from Tenerife on Sunday. Think it was about my 7th time on the island, but the first time I'd ventured to the north. Had 4 nights in Adeje followed by 3 nights at Puerto de la Cruz.
Very relaxing time. Siam Park was again great (but a bit on the cold side the day we were there) and Loro Parque excellent. I was particularly impressed by the dolphin show, but all the shows were great. _________________ UK Hotels - UK Selfcatering - UK B&Bs - UK Attractions
