Hi everyone,

I came to Costa Rica about two weeks ago and will be staying for the next 5 months doing an internship. I don't have a car here so I was wondering if there is any online-shopping-site comparable to amazon.com where I can order things because I am having trouble getting to places.
´Thanks for any help you guys can give me!

Does Amazon.com not ship there? I would have thought they would... just might take a few extra days (and probably cost a few extra $$$).

Hi everyone! First post here Wink

There are sites where you can do your shopping, just not one "super-store" where you can get pretty much everything but your groceries.

Here's some of the ones I know:

Computer equipment and accessories: platec.co.cr (you can place the order by phone 2250-9920 and they deliver for free in the metro area)

Groceries: automercado.co.cr

Cell phones: innovacellcr.com

Bicycling gear and bikes: puromtbshop.com

Lo compre aqui: locompreaqui.com sells all sorts of stuff.

And there's the eBay owned, MercadoLibre (mercadolibre.co.cr) where you can get pretty much anything used or new, not in all cases will you be able to negotiate for home delivery.

Also you can get service from Aerocasillas, JetBox or any of the other freight forwarding services there are available here, some of them have no monthly fees or minimums and what they do is give you an address in the US to ship your stuff to and they bring it down to CR, it's not expensive and very convenient, they can deliver to your door.

Hope this helped, if you have any other questions let me know Wink
