| I'm a British national living in the US with a valid US drivers license wanting to drive in the UK for a period of 3 weeks. Is it possible to get short term insurance with a US license without being put on someone else's insurance or through a rental company? There are quite a few UK insurance companies advertising that they offer short term insurance but then it's just restricted to EU individuals. Are there companies in the US that can provide this type of insurance for use in Europe? Thanks. |

try getting some travel insurance. I've had luck in getting coverage for rental cars this way. _________________ My flight map. A million miles and counting....Where I’ve been around the globe. |

Could you get an Americn insurer who allows drivers to travel anywhere in the world? I know that short term cover is available in the UK for sure. Although it will be at a premium compared pro rata to an annual policy. Which is why I mention the American option. _________________ *-*-*-*-*-*
