A friend wanted to know some information on a man who used to make sand sculptures in Southport in the sixties, he was there for years, any information would help Smile

Are you referring to Anthony Gormley, the guy who did the Angel of the North?

He did an installation at Crosby Beach (and I believe it travelled to other locations) called Another Place (link goes to a page on one of our sites), but this is recent work and not from the 60s.

Does anyone remember the man who did those lovely sand scenes/sculptures at the side of the track as you walked down to the beach at Southport?

I think she meant the sculptures were made out of sand Smile
