Yesterday (12th of January) a very hard earthquake (magnitudo 7.3 Richter) has destroyed Port au Prince, capital of Haiti, in 33 shots from midnight to 6 am.
They talk about 100.000 deads (estimated) and 3 hospitals of the 4 in Port au Prince were destroyed. Italy civil protection sent 2 Hercules C-130 with first aid tools and camp hospitals. The first videos shown on TV don't help to understand the disaster shape. _________________ A Rome private tour guide to visit the Trevi Fountain,Vatican Museums or the Colosseum |

That kept me updated a week late. seriously, that describes the word disaster. I googled it suprisingly getting a 200,000 victims. Plus another earthquake jolted eight days after that. (i dont know if youve heard) _________________ RV hire USA |

Yes it was a 6,1 Richter yesterday: other houses went down and they don't know if there are new deads under the rest of fallen buildings. The big problem will be the food organization (they have no water) and the health conditions of the seriously wounded people.
A US aircraft carrier left yesterday the port of Civitavecchia for Haiti, with helicopters, hospitals and medical crew on board. _________________ A Rome private tour guide to visit the Trevi Fountain,Vatican Museums or the Colosseum |

Haiti earthquake victims have suffered trauma so great with the multiple shock of lost homes, jobs and loved ones that they won't be able to cope without professional help, doctors say. Haitians is knowing that their relatives have been buried in mass graves, deprived of funerals.

Its not only Haiti. Some earthquakes of minor scale 4.3 have been located in Santiago de Cuba, east province of Cuba. I think the earth is shaking. Also check most recently what happened to Chile. _________________ http://www.cubacation.net |

It is just good to know that in times of crisis, those who have the capacity to help did share their blessings to those who were affected in Haiti.
