Do you think it is better to catch a Taxi to the airport or take your car and park in the a Airport Carparks?
I guess taking a car to the airport means that you can take more people in one car? BUT you could also take public transport like a bus to the airport which would save on fuel because there are a lot of people using that bus.
Do you think that airports should provide an airport bus which runs at abnormal hours which provides lifts to the airport by the normal bus route? Do you think that people would use this service?

Lol! I take it you sell car parking at airports too
As for environmental issue's its actually better to take your car and park instead of the usual "kiss and fly" trips people do to save money.
If you think about it when you get relatives to drop you off and pick you up your actually doubling the number of trips x4 as opposed to x2.
Mind you public transport is the ideal option for anyone traveling light. Im going to Bristol airport by train next month and il spend the money saved on the vip lounge..... lovely jubbly
Out of curiosity mate and i know im throwing the subject off a tad bit . Have you noticed a drop in your parking sales this year? Iv noticed a 30 - 40% drop from 2006 levels.
Always good to swap experiences! _________________ Gatwick Airport Parking |

CaptainKay, looking at your signature, I think you have your own ideas.
If you really must fly, then public transport is my preferred choice of getting to airports. They all have either a train station or a dedicated bus service from the nearest train station. Works out cheaper in most cases than parking as well.
Airports do not usually operate abnormal hours as they either aren't allowed to or they do all of the maintenance work on the runways and taxiways out of hours. _________________ Google Profile |

I think you have it spot on. I love taking the train to the airport even if i run an airport parking shop The only way it works out is for family holidays or business trips... other than that train/bus it is! _________________ Gatwick Airport Parking |

I don't necessarily think that my signature has to have anything to do with my own ideas.
As it happens I have only ever used Public Transport once to get to the airport, as I have mainly been with my family and it is cheaper for us to use the car and then park at the airport. I merely wanted to know what other people did and thought was best,
So, thank you for your comments _________________ Gatwick Parking Manchester Airport Parking |

Thanks for your comment Happy It's always good to hear other peoples views. As for the stats, I'm not sure. Obviously because of the current economic climate people are taking a break from going abroad so I presume that could make some difference.
