| Can I fly in to Chile or Argentina without an outgoing ticket because I'm not sure yet which country I want to fly out of to go back to the UK? |

I guess so..
I've never shown my returnticket when arriving in Chile or Argentina (nobody asked) and the question is not rasied either when you enter the country by bus |

| You're not supposed to be able to fly in without a ticket out. If you do have a problem, it will be in the airport at the ticket counter in the UK when they see you only have a one-way ticket. You can either buy a fully refundable ticket (gonna cost you a couple thousand dollars probably) or you can show them something that looks very much like a ticket, say something printed off of expedia and maybe altered a little bit. Just copy and paste it into Word and change some words to make it look like a purchase... |

There shouldn't be a problem if the ticket is a single, open jaw ticket...that is something like London-Buenos Aires and then Santiago-London. If you are questioned, you'll likely have to explain how you're going to get to Santiago, and I'm assuming then you will either buy a ticket locally if you're flying or have one already purchased, or perhaps overland.
I'd take Ginirover's assurances, he's been there multiple times. _________________ My flight map. A million miles and counting....Where I’ve been around the globe. |
