|
|
Hello There..
I am looking to do a big around the world trip, so am looking at Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and possibly the States..
I want to take a Laptop travelling with me as I know they can be very useful to have.
Does any one recommend what kind of Laptop I should go for and what kind of price I should be looking at paying. I do not want to pay lots for one, but would like a reliable machine, that is basic but does the job.
Thanks,
Lauren |

It depends on your demand.
It will be best for you if you take decision yourself. Because you may have heavy task on you laptop or light task. It totally depends on you.
But if you use it for only for communicate with others and navigate then you can take any netbook with atom processor. They are light wight, more portable. _________________ Safari in Tanzania |

| I always take a netbook when I go away, so much easier to carry and to take out of the bag at airport security |

Take the one that you are most comfortable with in terms of using and losing. Netbooks are great because they are cheap, but I find them to constricting, as I have been using Apple and work in multi-media. I also found that I am just more comfortable using the Apple platform, thus I was more productive with my work. For me it made sense.
Sure I would have been very angry if I lost it or it got stolen, but because it was an expensive machine, I found that was just particularly cautious bringing it out and using it in public. Not paranoid, just careful. _________________ How I work abroad. Where I travel abroad. |

| I 100% recommend buying a used Macbook Air 11 inch. They are beautiful, a pleasure to use, and super thin and lightweight. Unlike Windows based plastic laptops, a Mac will retain it's battery life quite well and is less likely to have other defects. |
