The smallest art gallery in the world has opened in Buenos Aires.

The art project, called Scale 1:10, was built inside a bathroom in an old factory. It's a tenth the size of a normal room and the ceiling is only a foot above the floor. People have to climb a flight of stairs and then put their heads through a hole to see the art gallery. The art gallery exhibits 27 tiny paintings and sculptures which were chosen through a contest.

The project was created by artists Martin Calcagno, Margarita Garcia Faure, Eduardo Navarro and Vicencte Rozadas Sauser. A spokesman told Clarin: "We chose to do this because we wanted to show how new artists are treated in galleries, they are given horrible places to put their work."
