My girlfriend and me will be in Peru doing December, and we would love to do the Inca Trek.
Since I’ve been in the area before, and I generally have some problems adapting to the altitude, and therefore we would love to arrive in Cuzco, and don’t plan going before I fell ready.
Unfortunately these Inca Trail Trek Permit has become restricted, and we wouldn’t like to have a fixed arrangement since I might not fell ready to go.
Does anybody know if we would have a hard time getting trekking permits within a few days? |

Hi,
The chance of securing an Inca trail permit a few days beforehand is zero. You need to book months in advance if at all possible.
If it´s full, you can always do other interesting trails near cuzco that aren´t so booked up, eg. Santa Teresa Trail. _________________ South America Travel Tips Blog |

Agreed, if you do not have a permit, they won't let you past the entrance gate thing next to the river.
Next best thing to do is an alternative trip. Most end at M.P., may cost the same and may offer more an ;experience' than the trail. |
