Rather than rely on a visa service to provide information, why not go to the source what they'll give you. Go to the Canadian Embassy web site for the country in which you live.

Rather, you didn't want to spend any of your time posting a proper reply. Rolling Eyes

This, coupled with the fact that truthfully you in India and not the USA as you claim, earns you a ban.

There are two distinct ways to qualify for a Canadian Immigration (Permanent Resident) Visa under the Federal Skilled Worker category and there are different requirements throughout the immigration process for each, [company name deleted, why bother with giving them free publicity?] will assists you in navigating the Canadian Immigration System, which is a FREE service to immigration applicants.

Another one for the ban list. Rolling Eyes

True location is India, not the US, if anyone's interested... Rolling Eyes

So why do people do that? What is the advantage of pretending to be from somewhere else?

sam_doll, which country are you from? If you are from one of the commonwealth nations then you will have certain advantages when applying for a Canadian work visa. A good starting point is the wikipedia page:

The Working Holiday category is designed for New Zealand citizens who intend to travel in Canada and who wish to find temporary paid employment to help pay for their stay (maximum 12 months).

To be eligible for the Working Holiday category, you must:

be a New Zealand citizen with a valid New Zealand passport;
be between the ages of 18 and 35 (inclusive);
have the equivalent of C$2,500 to help cover your expenses at the beginning of your stay;
be prepared to take out health-care insurance for the duration of your stay – you may have to present evidence of this insurance when you enter Canada;
pay a participation fee that is equivalent to C$150 in New Zealand dollars; and
not have participated in the International Experience Canada Working Holiday category before.
