I enjoyed the Banff and Jasper Glacier Park Area. We were camping and found the trails and the wildlife like no wheres else we had been before. The scenic views were so beautiful.

Sounds like you have traveled alot in Canada. I saw the Anne of Green Gables movies and never realized it was Canada. I like to see that area maybe on a future trip. I did also get to see the northern lights years ago absolutely beautiful how they seem to be dancing in the ski. Thanks for your update on different areas.

Hi,

I agree with Mark. I have visited the east and the west side and can't decide which one was more beautiful. I love Toronto and I love Vancouver. I love the Rocky Mountains and the quite beautiful lakes, I love the indian summer time in Ontario and Quebéc. I have never been to Novia Scotia and the whole east coast but I believe it must be beautiful as well. Everythink is great in Canada Rolling Eyes

Cheers,
Nicky

My parents have been bugging me for years to go on that cruise. It sounds great of course I was checking out all the excursion trips which sounded cool also. My dad's not able to travel now and I feel bad we never got there he loves cruising. There friends went last year and also did that inside passage and I saw there pictures and looked so beautiful.

I love Ottawa and surroundings. It's a beautiful city, not too big and the nature nearby in Quebec is gorgeous. Also, to the south is the Thousand Islands region with lots of nice towns and a beautiful area of, well, 1000 Islands in the St. Lawrence river.

That brings you pretty close to my area..Wink
Yes, we live in a nice surrounding.. like the feeling of Ottawa.. and heading east on the Hwy 417.
This time of year, foliage is really colorful (relating to our many maple trees). We're located in outskirt of beautiful Vankleek Hill and we also offer Bed & Breakfast at this time of year. So if tempted to enjoy the autumn feeling in a relaxed environment you can look this way.

Sounds wonderful but a little short on funds currently but this would be the time of year I would like to visit. I'll keep it in mind.

I always thought someday when I retire I like to run a B&B in a great area like Canada. I use to work in Hotels years ago Housekeeping, Front Desk, Reservations, Bookkeeper and love to cook and entertain and talk to people who travel. I'm a hard worker and I know this business is a big job and 24/7 but I do think I will eventually do this someday.

Yes my friend..
It's a colorful time to be around in this area, as mentioned before.
I'd say the Bed & Breakfast idea is the end result of semi-retirement and I'll brace myself that it becomes more busy with time.. in fact as busy as it is in full summer season with the main features. Since you know about B&B maybe you'll be of help in the future. This forum appears to bring lots of people together..Wink

Lake Louise is one of the most beautiful scenes I have ever visited.

I was there this summer while on a tour of Canada relaxing with my family after an encounter with a grizzly bear on the road side. The lake was so blue and the back drop of the glacier was stunning.

Anywhere in the Rocky Mountains have always held appeal for me. As mentioned on this thread, Banff & Jasper have incredible scenic vistas!

I really enjoyed touring around the Sunshine Coast in BC - places such as Gibsons, Sechelt and Egmont (where the Skookumchuck Rapids are located) provided a relaxing get-away.

I may be a bit prejudiced, but I've always thought the Okanagan Valley in BC held a beauty all it's own. Smile

I skied lake louise last year and it was superb. The chatauex is quite a great place for a mid-morning fly cup.

I stayed in Banff as well and its a really cool town with a good community but there was aslo plenty to do at night; plenty of pubs and live music. There is also a nightclub but after long days on the slopes it would take a big effort to go clubbing!

In Banff you can also walk along the river and uptowards the Banff Springs which is a freat looking place.

Also sunshine village is a great ski (and a little closer than lake louise if you stay in banff)

To pick up on ukgail's post, Atlantic Canada is great for sightseeing and the Nova Scotia seacoast is wonderful. Myself, I'm partial to Chedabucto Bay, the largest bay on the Atlantic Coast. With more than 600 kilometres of shoreline stretching from the southern shores of Cape Breton Island to the easternmost point of mainland Nova Scotia, Chedabucto Bay has incredible scenery, wildlife and recreation. To learn more about activities on Chedabucto Bay, visit the Authentic Seacoast website.
