It looks like there is a follow-up to that story here with Ryanair continuing their war of words with Iberia Airlines. _________________ Europe's most popular destinations |

Some more negative publicity for Ryanair with this story about a boy with a broken leg forced to stand for the duration of his flight.

These stories are always a concern to people and rynair as well as easy jet have had a fair share of bad publicity.
However. Does our concern fall by when you see the same airlines offering flights for less than a taxi to the local airport??
I know i have said that i wouldn't use an airline that discriminates against sectons of society but i will be honest and say that i continue to use them when the cost is so low.

| Sunshine, you make a very good point. These 'low cost' airlines are generally very good for travellers despite all the negative they receive. However, what really annoys me is when they advertise their flights for "less than a taxi to the local airport" and then you have to add on all the airport taxes, credit card fees, fuel taxes etc etc. |

The story about the boy with the broken leg is apalling, but Sunshine is right, people will still fly with them because even after the bad customer service, and the 'hidden' charges, the flights are cheap, and there is a demand for that.
Actually, I may end up flying Ryanair myself in August - they are half the price of the next cheapest airline, and all I care about really is getting where I need to be on time.
Most people can't afford to vote with their feet when they need to fly somewhere.
I just hope the comment on that news article about making all passengers stand doesn't give them any ideas.... _________________ Anne

As far Ryanair goes any publicity is good. The more outrageous it is, the more potential passengers hear about the airline. When they invite Mr O'Leary onto the TV and radio to answer criticism he uses the opportunity to promote his latest free flight offer. _________________ Google Profile |
