I stood at El Cozumeleno a few nights last summer. It was a beautiful beach side resort that had a great golf course. It was about $120 a night, but it was a great trip. I went during the summer so the beach was very helpful. I would say going in the fall or spring is the best time to go, not too hot and definitely not cold.

I like the Me Melia in Cancun have stayed there many times.
