hey not sure if u should have tacked this onto another post, but figured it was sufficiently different. apologies if this has been asked before (couldnt readily find it; there is a fair bit to get through).
im travelling in SE asia until early feb and was planning on heading over to canada staight afterwards. Im operating under the assumption that lots of season workers will leave early to start their southern hemisphere uni degrees in march, and there will hopefully be some work going on one of the hills from early-mid feb up to the end of the season (may/june???)
basically, is it feasable to get a job in a ski resort in feb?? i no everyone else has arrived by october.... any hints for getting an on-hill job that late?? not fussed, but work xp at home has been hospitality (shift manager/supervisor) so that kinda stuff may be easier to get?
any advice would be awsome, even if it is to say that its not really feasable at all
cheers,

As you suggest, there are a large number of workers who have had enough by the end of February. There are openings. It is feasible.
I am not sure you would be able to land an on-mountain job, but housekeeping and retail is usually short of staff by then. The mountains expect a loss of workers in the early spring and have allowed for that as part of their seasonal winding-down process.
It also depends somewhat on the way the season (ski conditions) is going. Spring can be very busy if conditions are excellent. This can catch employers short handed. |
