hi
i am egyptian I love my country. I feel it is the best country in the world, if u choose to travel to Egypt absolutely u made the right decision in my opinion, there is many sites u could visit while ur trip in Egypt ( Pyramids and the Great Sphinx of Giza, Luxor city, Western desert of Egypt, Sharm el-Sheikh, Dahab, Siwa, Marsa Alam, Hurgada, ElGouna and many more sites) Egypt is famous for its ancient civilization and some of the world's most ancient and important monuments. Also there is safari trips in the desert (camel riding climbing mountains, camping in the desert, u can't imagine the feeling trust me I was there a week ago), also u can enjoy simplicity of sun, sea and sand, the luxury of five-star hotels, water sports, shopping and entertainment.
What do u know about Egypt?
Thanks

I don't have a nationality and the world is my country - that's why my emotions are directed towards the people rather than having some nationalistic delusions.
Egypt is a one off tourist destination - within 2 weeks you can see all the attractions from Aswan to Aleksandria. On top of it you can do some activities (snorkeling, boat or felucca on the Nile, camel/horse riding in the desert) or do some slow backpacking and mixing with locals - but it migh be not as plaesant as in the other countries. _________________ Massage therapy central London thai centre masaż tajski kurs Warszawa

Egypt is a wonderful place. The Sinai and Dahab in particular are great. It just seems a lot more chiled than anywhere else in Egypt. Really nice beach front restaurants as well.

| I`we went to Egypt 3 times and every time I go I like it even more. There are a lot of places to visit.First, there are the pyramids, then, the Sphinx, then the temples.A good way to travel in Egypt is with a camel,I`m pretty certain that you haven`t done this before so I think you will find it very interesting.Give it a try,I`m sure you won`t regret it. |

i have lived here 3 years have two half egyptian kids and an egyptian husband...we would be happy to LIVE just about anywhere except egypt...I would recommend it purely for the historian type traveller who wants to see the pyramids and so on, but to live the real egyptian experience is not on my list of "enjoyable experiences" If the pollution doesn't kill you the stress probably will It is just way too loud, vulgar and dirty for me....i am looking for any place but here to spend some time where there are trees, clean lakes, rivers and beaches and some adventure that does not involve sand
its a good place to visit but i can think of many more enjoyable places to see, but everyone has their own idea of pleasure when it comes to travel. |

| Oh my goodness Doctorforhire, I hope you and your family find a new country and a new home soon. There was a lot I enjoyed about Eqypt and a lot I didnt enjoy. The dry weather was too unpleasant for me and the women didnt seem to have the same rights as the men, or did I notice too much I wasnt supposed to, that I felt women were looked down upon. I certainly felt unsafe and my travelling companion was offered many camels for me hahaha I wish that was a joke, but it actually happened, tongue in cheek no doubt. Then at Carnac the guide attempted to cut me off at the pass to seperate me from my companion, he flung his arm across my chest and threatened my companion to give him more money. When he was'nt looking I slid under his arm and escaped pulling my companion away from him. A similar thing attempted to happen at the river and I refused to go in and went back to the hotel. Certainly there were many frightening times, however they werent prepared for women to fight back. So, I hope women in Eqypt a mighty revolution to get from under the thumbs of the egyptian men and the law there that seems so prejudice against females. |

I went to Egypt for about 2 weeks NOT on a tour. Its a very interesting place, but it can be a tough country to travel in. You constantly get harrassed by everybody wanting the "help" you for a bit of money in return. It was also extremely hot.
I went to Cairo, Luxor, Hurgada, Suez and Alexandria. I reccommond Alexandria. The city has a nice feel about it. _________________ Visit http://www.hoteldealsite.com to Compare Hotel Prices from Top Hotel Sites |

You must know that:
1) only tourists are harassed, so try to give the illusion that you are not a tourist but a historian or archeologist f.i.
2) when harassed, don't try to answer but simply say once, clearily and loud "La, chokran" (=no, thank you). I repeat: you must say it once and continue your way.

I visited once a few years ago and covered a fair bit of the country. Loved it all but as has already been posted Dahab has got a great feel to it - the diving was awesome too. Mind floating up the Nile on Felucca was a great experience, don't think I've ever been so relaxed. _________________ For must know pre-visit Egypt info visit http://www.princeofegypt.co.uk |

| I'm thinking about visiting Egypt for a week in February. Not sure which area to visit yet, as I'm researching a bit of each. Does anyone know of any useful sites, about Egypt? Reviews about the places if possible, including hotels? Not interested in the major companies, but places where it's pretty reasonable. All help would be much appreciated. |
