Down the road, behind an unfinished business estate, there is a creek, with still a good band of untouched native bushland. It's a steep slope down to the creek, no-one goes there. You can sit quietly, and absorb the sounds of birds... cockatoos and the like... watch them swooping around. If you stay still and quiet eventually you can see the occasional creature snuffling around in the undergrowth. Wombats, echidnas.

Very peaceful and meditative.

I agree about Mallorca, Canadian Rockies, Costa Rica.....unbelievable. My favourite though was along the Mocambican coast in Southern Africa. Went there on a scuba holiday. It is so unspoilt and naturally beautiful....truely something that takes your breath away.

Cape Town's top of the list (but I'm probably biased - I live there). Other than that, St Helena Island - for a completley different holiday, and very very relaxing. Takes the phrase "getting away from it" to another level - no cellphone reception, no airlines.

I like sitting by the flagpole at Glasgow Uni, overlooking the park and Kelvingrove Art Gallery. It's so serene and beautiful Smile

My favourite place is Antigua. It's a greeny and still natural island... Of course there are a lot of fantastic beaches!

Nagarkot in nepal (5-6 years back)

went to the top of a mountain and there was fierce rain, me and my friends had to take shelter in a small shack. Completely untouched place, we were completely overawed by the beauty of the place - mountains, cool breeze, no unnecessary man made objects and a cuppa tea in a hut !

well this is difficult, but I would for a city have to say Paris.
Wandering down the boulevards or sitting watching the world go by.
For scenery the fjords in Norway take some beating, but is there anywhere quite as beautiful as Scotland?
